We are delighted to welcome Ann Charlton to Galilee on April 13th. Ann is chaplain to the Rotunda Maternity Hospital, and every day cares for families who are experiencing the various stages of pregnancy, birth, and life afterwards. This work has its shares of joys but Ann also cares for families when a baby dies before or after birth. She has many years of experience with family members who respond to this loss in different ways and she will bring this experience and her wisdom and compassion to our day together. Ann will be joined in leading this day by our director, Anne Francis.
So this day of reflection will provide a gentle time exploring this experience in a safe and healing environment. We will take a spiritual approach to grief and its effects. This day is for people who have experienced the death of a baby/babies through miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, fetal anomaly, interruption, still birth or neonatal death. Some have been recently bereaved or long ago bereaved and all are welcome to attend. You may be a mother, father, a grandparent, a sibling or an extended family member. This day is for you. All are welcome.
The value of life is not measured by the span of its years… (Wisdom 4:8)
